Southern Cross Care has released a new design for the $24 million aged care facility next to heritage listed St Johns Church and cemetery in Campbelltown, NSW.
This is the third design Southern Cross Care has submitted for approval in 16 months.
The non-for-profit’s facility neighbouring the historic church will stand three to four storeys and include 90 rooms, a reduction on the original proposal of 100.
Initial designs were rejected by Campbelltown Council on concerns about its impact on the historic church, but the new design has shaved one metre off the facility’s proposed height.
The design is on public exhibition until Friday.
