Sydney aged care facility reaccredited after new owners Carino Care step in

1 min read

As we reported here, Tierra Healthcare, operating under the name of Carino Care, took over four of Ark Healthcare’s aged care facilities in Russell Lea, Oatley, Sylvania and Rockdale in August.

Now the Department of Health has approved the reaccreditation of the Sylvania Heights facility – just three months after a June audit found it had passed only 19 of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA)’s 44 accreditation standards.

An August audit conducted after Tierra – which is led by its chairman and former ECH CEO and ACSA National President Rob Hankins – assumed ownership found the home met all 44 outcomes.
