The diversified operator has completed a final release of 44 aged care beds at TLC Homestead Estate taking it to 264 beds.

TLC Homestead Estate, located in Wallington, nearly 100km southwest of Melbourne on the Bellarine Peninsula, already has a modern aged care facility and medical facilities, with gardens, a cafe, gym, hydrotherapy pool, and beauty salon.

Residents have access to on-site GPs and allied health, and a wellbeing program, which includes movies and access to corporate suites at Marvel Stadium in Docklands, Melbourne and GMBHA Stadium in Geelong at no extra cost.

The aged care expansion comes in response to "overwhelming" demand for aged care in the area, said TLC Healthcare.

"The release of these final 44 purpose-built rooms to the Wallington community marks the completion of a multi-year investment that challenges the traditional boundaries of the sector," TLC Healthcare said.

The expansion features floor-t0-ceiling windows with views of Bellarine landscapes, and modern, high-end interiors.

"We haven't just added space; we've built a precinct that celebrates the stories and connections that define the Bellarine Peninsula," said TLC Healthcare CEO Lou Pascuzzi.

Last week we reported TLC Healthcare had unveiled impressive plans to turn Victoria's dilapidated Rosebud Public Hospital into an intergenerational healthcare precinct, a model the operator has already developed across 12 sites. The plans include a public hospital, day surgery, aged care facility, intergenerational hub, allied health centre, early learning centre, gym and aquatic centre, and social hub.

With aged care margins under sustained pressure, TLC Healthcare has expanded beyond traditional revenue streams with a strategy of ‘concentric diversification’. The Melbourne-based aged care operator has not only expanded into healthcare precincts, early learning centres, and training facilities, it has also successfully established supply manufacturing, warehousing, maintenance, and joinery businesses.

TLCs Hallam Integrated Care Precinct, which is set to begin construction in July, includes plans for a 270-bed aged care home.
