Uniting Church is looking to build 50 new seniors’ apartments opposite their 149-bed Caroona aged care facility in Yamba on the NSW North Coast.
The proposal is for 12 one-, 32 two- and four three-bedroom units in an 11.7-metre-tall building overlooking the picturesque Yamba harbour.
They may face some opposition, however.
Neighbours have already raised concerns to the Council about the height of the building, which is exceeds the government policy for the area.
