Bethanie turns sod on $25 million Dalyellup aged care home, its last ‘big box’

1 min read

The sod has been turned on aged care provider Bethanie’s $25 million Dalyellup aged care home, 178km south of Perth.

The Not For Profit, who have 34 locations across Perth and regional Western Australia, contracted BGC Construction to build the 120-bed aged care home which is expected to be finished by June, 2022.

Bethanie Chief Executive Chris How said it would be the last time the provider will build an aged care home of this size, instead moving to smaller models.

“The Royal Commission findings will have an impact on the style of aged care homes being built in the future,” Mr How said.

“Aged care homes going forward will be more than likely less than 60 beds each in size.”
