Ardency Kennedy Place, the new Lendlease retirement village on the site of the old Channel Nine complex in Richmond, Victoria, is 50% sold out, with construction to complete by year’s end.

The development in Melbourne’s inner east – named after TV legend Graham Kennedy – is part of Gramercy Terraces, an intergenerational living precinct, which will also include a residential aged care facility.

The retirement living portion itself will include 116 one-, two-, three- and 3.5-bedroom apartments across eight levels, as well as seven penthouses, each with at least one car space; apartment sizes will range from 81 to 232 square metres plus balconies.

Amenities will include pool, wellness centre, library, and a 30-seat cinema planned to be called the Newton Theatre; sales are open now, with one-bedroom apartments starting at $720,000, two-bedroom apartments at $860,000, and three-bedroom apartments at $1,220,000.

“The community has already started to build with future residents enjoying our elevated event series taking place in the display suite and at offsite locations, including musical performances in collaboration with Melbourne Recital Centre, Qigong and Tai Chi classes, wine bar series events and more,” a Lendlease spokesperson told The Weekly SOURCE.

Lendlease plans to host hard-hat tours once the building tops out in the middle of 2022, with residents to move in from February 2023.
