The Queensland-based aged care provider, owned by Palm Lake Group, has made the appointment to support the next phase of growth.

Palm Lake Care has appointed Amanda Boyd as Chief Operating Officer.

Amanda was Chief Operations Officer with LDK Seniors' Living for nearly 10 years, and is a qualified lawyer.

She has extensive experience in operational leadership, service delivery and organisational performance, with a strong focus on building high-performing teams and positive workplace cultures. Her role begins on 15 June 2026.

The appointment comes at a significant time for Palm Lake Care, which is looking to expand across Queensland and New South Wales.

CEO and Executive Director Daniel Aitchison said the appointment reflects Palm Lake Care's commitment to ensuring the organisation is well positioned to meet the opportunities and challenges facing the aged care sector.

"Amanda's experience and leadership style make her an excellent fit for Palm Lake Care, and we are delighted to welcome her to the organisation," Daniel said.

"With the commencement of our new Forster development and other strategic initiatives underway, now is the right time to further strengthen our executive structure and operational leadership," he said.

Boyd will work closely with operational, clinical and support teams across the organisation to strengthen collaboration, drive operational excellence and support consistent outcomes for residents, families and team members.

Palm Lake Care has seven aged care homes in Queensland and 27 over-50s land lease communities in NSW and Queensland.
