The Edward River Council has identified a community retirement village as one of its key advocacy projects and has moved ahead with the research and planning phase.
The Council secured the 2.2ha site for the village back in 2017.
Last month, general manager Phil Stone accompanied Council’s retirement village committee on several site inspections to develop a plan for the proposed Deniliquin site which includes unit designs and facades.
Mr Stone said Council was optimistic that the project would be “well established” by the end of 2021.
