Roshana Group acquires Dryandra Residential Care in regional WA

1 min read

The WA-based private operator will take over Dryandra Residential and Community Care Inc (DRCC) (pictured) in Kellerberrin, 200km west of Perth, on 28 February from Baptistcare WA – just over two years since Roshana acquired four other Baptistcare WA facilities.

As we reported here in October 2017, the Group assumed ownership and management of the Gwen Hardie Lodge and Annie Bryson McKeown Lodge in Albany, and Sunshine Park Residential Care and Sunshine Park Retirement Village in Lesmurdie.

Dryandra Residential and Community Care Inc (DRCC) owns the facility, but it has been run by Baptistcare since 2015.

Roshana now runs four aged care homes under the subsidiary Burswood Care Pty Ltd as well as retirement living, mental health and psychiatric services.

DRCC Chairperson Raymond Griffiths said: “Aged care is a highly complex, rapidly changing industry and the time is now right for DRCC to transition ownership of the service to an aged care provider.”

Baptistcare’s CEO Russell Bricknell, added it will be essentially business as usual for the facility.

“Residents rights are protected, and their security of tenure is assured. All permanent employees at the facility will be offered employment with Roshana Group to ensure residents continue to be supported by highly skilled and caring staff,” he said.
