Stockland welcomes first Victorian residents at Halcyon Berwick land lease community

The first five residents have moved into Stockland’s Halcyon Berwick land lease community, its first in Victoria, which launched last year.

Originally named Thrive Berwick, the community in Melbourne’s outer south-eastern suburbs has prices roughly in line with others in the area: available homes start at around $480,000 at time of writing, compared to $475,000 for Aviva in Officer and $440,000 for Lifestyle Communities’ Casey Waters in Cranbourne East.

Halcyon Berwick will have 175 homes in Stockland’s masterplanned Minta community, around 48km southeast of the Melbourne CBD; it will also include a clubhouse with features such as swimming pool, cinema, pickleball and croquet court, spa and gym, and dedicated dog wash.

According to Halcyon Berwick Project Director Nicky Guirguis, the five new homeowners – including Glenys and Ray Parker (above) – had COVID-19 considerations on their minds.

“Our homeowners and homebuyers are very excited about the start of a new journey for them, especially coming off the back of the COVID pandemic when many people have felt really isolated," she said.

“They are looking for a sense of kinship and to live within a supportive community of friends; it is more than just a home,”
