City of Townsville recommends DA for 73-unit RV in North Queensland

The development application lodged by Brothers Leagues Club to build a 73-unit retirement village in Townsville, has been recommended for approval.

As we reported here, the village will be built on the back of 1.5ha of residential land that sits adjacent to the Club in Kirwan.

The application proposes a two-stage development, and the build will be handled by Club Property Solutions Pty Ltd (CPS).

City of Townsville Planning and Development Committee chairperson Les Walker said it was encouraging to see development applications submitted, despite COVID-19.
