Few operators are moving as quickly as Serenitas, and its latest community reflects the company’s confidence in the sector’s future.
By 2031, Forster’s retirement-age population is expected to surge by 63.3% – one of the fastest increases on the NSW Mid North Coast.
The town is already popular with retirees. DCM Group’s website villages.com.au lists Palm Lake Resort Forster Lake, Hampshire Villages’ Lakeside Forster Village, Levande Golden Ponds, Evermore Retirement Living and Solaris Living.

The commencement of construction coincides with the release of the community’s Foundation Sales Release, featuring seven new home designs created specifically for over-50s.
The 160-home community will feature a clubhouse with a cinema, bowling green, sports bar and dining room, art and craft studio, community lounge and kitchen, golf simulator, billiards room and a workshop and hobby shed.
Other amenities include a swimming pool and spa, fully equipped gym, multi-purpose studio for yoga, pilates studio or functions, pickleball courts, croquet lawn and a variety of indoor and outdoor lounge spaces.
Serenitas Head of Sales and Marketing Holly Brennan and Head of Communities Jacqueline How turned the first sod. Holly said the ceremony was another important step in the continued national expansion of the Thyme Lifestyle Resort brand.

Serenitas CEO Von Slater added that there is a growing awareness of the land lease model as a long-term housing option that offers financial flexibility alongside a strong sense of community.
