Nazareth Care has received approval to build a retirement village at the site of its 126-bed aged care facility in Wynnum, approximately 20km from the Brisbane CBD.
The approval will see the Not For Profit expand the aged care home to 150 beds, with the retirement village to be comprising of 213 apartments across two, three and four-storey buildings to accommodate up to 450 residents.
The 7-ha site will be divided into six precincts as part of the development, in a design that incorporates the site’s heritage-listed Convent and Chapel.
Nazareth has five aged care homes in QLD, VIC, NSW and WA.
