QLD: Gladstone Council seeks Expressions of Interest from retirement and aged care providers for new community precinct

Published on

It wants operators to build, operate and maintain a facility in its Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct (pictured) in West Gladstone, 100km southeast of Rockhampton.

Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett says the development – which began construction in January with site clearing and earthworks – currently has a Preliminary Approval which allows for a mix of use types at the site.

“The Gladstone Region is currently experiencing a lack of availability and diversity in aged care accommodation options and this often sees our retirees seeking accommodation outside of the region,” he said.

Potential tenderers are asked to direct enquiries via email to info@gladstone.qld.gov.au. Find out more information HERE.
