Residents move into Carrington Care’s Assisted Living Apartments next week

Not For Profit Carrington Care, which provides retirement living, aged care and assisted care on an estate in Camden in Sydney’s southwest, will welcome residents into its first assisted living development on 4 December.

“The Assisted Living Concept is a first of its kind in both design and service offering in the Macarthur Region (South West Sydney) and indeed in the Greater Sydney Region,” said CEO Raad Richards on LinkedIn.

There are 41 one- and two-bedroom units for people who require some care, domestic services and dining yet remain living independently serviced by a concierge and a case coordinator.

“All meals are provided with breakfast served in the apartment and the main meals in the communal living area. Laundry and linen – the bed is changed weekly – are provided,” said a spokeswoman.

Carrington Care, which wants to build a mixed-use facility on the 27-ha estate in Grasmere, is close to retirement village developer Paul Singer’s Mount Gilead village, which now has close to 500 residents.
