Planner Brazier Motti has lodged a development application on behalf of the retirement living operator for 273 homes on a 13.5ha site at its award-winning North Shore community in Burdell, 15km northwest of the Townsville CBD.
North Shore is a master planned community of 5,500 dwellings (2,200 built) and a town centre including a shopping centre, aquatic centre, schools, medical centre and an Arcare aged care facility.
The site had been earmarked for potential retirement village use but as we reported here, Stockland recently revealed plans for 10 land lease communities and 2,000 development sites across Australia as they look to expand their retirement living portfolio.
