Townsville leagues club proposes $28M seniors’ living precinct in partnership with new village operator

1 min read

The Brothers Leagues Club has lodged a development application to build 72 apartments with two bedrooms, two bedrooms plus study and three bedrooms over two stages on 1.5ha of residential land adjacent to the Club in Kirwan.

Named ‘The Boulevard’, the design of the village will be inspired by the traditional Queenslander and the Florida Keys and feature units along a tree-lined avenue that will serve as a new access to the club.

Brothers Leagues Club CEO Justin Wilkins told the Townsville Bulletin the concept for the project had been developed over an 18-month period in partnership with Club Property Solutions Pty Ltd, which specialises in retirement living communities on or next to community clubs and will buy the land to develop the precinct.

CPS director David Wing says his company now has five Club Villages projects at various stages of planning underway throughout Queensland.
