Plan for 21 retirement homes in Bundanoon, NSW Southern Highlands, rejected

1 min read

A $6.8 million retirement complex in Bundanoon, in the NSW Southern Highlands, has been rejected by Wingecarribee Shire Council, much to the anger of the developer and owner of the site.

Lee Marvin said the council had indicated there were no issues with the application for Highball House (pictured) in Railway Avenue.

The proposal to build 21 homes on the 1 hectare block took eight months to come before council, where the council’s planning board unanimously refused the seniors housing development.

Mr Marvin said he would not appeal the decision and would instead apply to turn the seven subdivided lots into two-storey houses.
